The Data Protection, Security and Privacy in Cloud (DPSP) Cluster, coordinated by Tecnalia, has announced the release of the Whitepaper on Cloud technology options towards Free Flow of Data. The announcement was made during the Cluster presentation at the Cloud projects Concertation meeting that was held at Net Futures 2017 pre-conference event.

The whitepaper collects technology, methodologies and tools from 14 projects in the Cluster that addresses some of the issues raised by Free Flow of Data (FFD) initiative within Digital Single Market. The technologies are classified in the 10 areas of work of the FFD: Free Movement of data, Location of data, Ownership, Access to data, Access to public data, Usability, Interoperability, Switch of CSPs, Cloud certifications, Cloud contracts (Service Level Agreements).

The main aim of the document is to facilitate the identification of the state-of-the-art of Cloud technology options towards solving the data security and privacy challenges posed by the Free Flow of Data initiative in Europe. The document gives reference to the individual projects and the technologies produced by them.
